Major Home Repairs
Dream Homes Remodeling has tackled and solved many difficult major home repairs over the years.
A major home repair requires careful planning and attention to the homeowners needs. Many times, the work can be done while the homeowner is still living in the residence. Other times, it just makes more sense for the homeowner to temporarily move out of the residence during the repairs.
In any case, I have the resources to make the repairs as quickly and thoroughly as possible so as to minimize the interruptions to your daily routines.
Success with larger home projects involves attention to scheduling aspects as well as a detailed knowledge of the interactions between the applicable trade groups. For this reason alone, you should never take on the task of a major home repair on your own.
Many times, major home repairs involve the removal of structural or load bearing items through the home without disrupting other areas that depend on those items. It is critical that you have someone with the experience, "imagination", and ingenuity to handle those situations as they arise throughout the project.
Below is an example of a major home repair that involved termite damage.
| BEFORE - Termite damage on two load bearing beams. |
| AFTER- Damage removed and beams replaced. |

Below is another example of a major repair. This is the repair of a rim or "band" joist.
The repair below involves the removal and replacement of a critical load bearing element while the entire weight and structure of the home remains above.
| BEFORE- The band joist was damged by water and termites. |
| REPAIR- The joist is removed, and the wall is jacked. |
| AFTER- The new pressure treated joist installed. Ready to close-up the wall. |

Below is another example of a major repair. This is the repair of the ENTIRE CORNER OF THE HOUSE.
Again, the repair below involves the removal and replacement of critical load bearing elements while the entire weight and structure of the roof remains above.
